Do you the Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the rest of the siblings will buy out DEI now that it is up for grabs? We know Teresa and Jr. won't do any partnerships, but if DEI is fully available to him, will he scoop it up?

How about a Woods Bros, or Yates buyout of DEI and conversion to the Blue Oval.

At this point Ford needs a major shake-up in their team line-up to compete with GM and very soon Toyota.

Ford needs something, that's for sure.

It seems it would be up to Siegel Maybe Jr is one of the investors Siegle is talking to.
From Jayski's:

Sources said Siegel is very serious about the purchase and appears to have investors salivating over the opportunity to own the legendary team. In addition, Teresa has grown more frustrated with NASCAR nation following her fall-out with the sports most popular driver, and wants nothing more than to be out of the public eye for good

Well it's painfully obvious that's partially true.

Teresa has never liked being in the public's spotlight and is why she's never been around the track as much as most owners.

As far as the rest of Jayski's report.... ho-hum, Jayski retracts and or corrects more online content than any ten other news agencies/blogs combined.

I never read Jayski. I can't believe that espn has such a gossip rag.

Gossip?

You're too kind Clance'.

It doesn't matter if it's Jayski's or ESPN, it is all based on unfounded rumors. Marty Smith took credit for the Stewart-Haas news, but it was actually broken by Lee Spencer.
ESPN and professional journalism do not go together.

Actually no.

It was broken in N. America by me. See my blog post on Stewart's move and the link to "page ten," note the date of April 15.

That's a few days prior to Spencer getting a whiff of the story.

And BTW Tom Bowles of FS also claimed to be the first with the Smoke to Haas story. They are all full of horse-hockey.

It would be the fans dream if Dale Earnhardt, jr. and his siblings made the buy to get Teresa out of the building. He might even have the stones to buy it alone.

The question then becomes; would Teresa negotiate with him in good faith? Or would she jerk him around just for grins.

Who knows, maybe Smoke is already on it. Wouldn't that news rock the NA$CAR world?
