Won't happen. Unlike NFL, MLB, etc., NASCAR is driven by sponsors. Sponsors pay more for TV exposure than what is viewed by track goers (is that a word?). Will not happen. No chance.

I don't have a problem with any of it except the tires or gas only pit stops. It seems kind of dumb and unworkable as in Marc's scenario. Why not a tirew limit ala ARCA (ten tires per race)? That would be real cost savings.

Ya' know ... I seem to have the very same problem (maybe because we're working so hard on our own at times, that it's about impossible to keep up on everyone else's, 'specially when they're newer?) No matter -- I'm so am glad I met you here, as I've just checked yours out, too, & you're now on our blogroll! Talk about 'fantastic' -- how about 'it's terrific!' grin ... no -- truly is. (If I there's more than onpitrow.com, tho, let me know, and I'll add that, too.)

Thanks for the great compliment (sincerely - means a lot, especially coming from people who've done this a lot longer than Grump and I have, and are actually extremely GOOD at it), and ditto right back atcha' ...

Hey -- congrats on the "4th Most Influential" deal, too! We were "looked at" and I've communicated with Dexter (I think from the same place - this 'networking' stuff was getting confusing there for a while, so I gave up on most of it & started getting back to basics -- like, uh, as B (our IT-guru) tells me all the time -- "just write, C ... cut it out with the rest of it, and just WRITE", lol). We're just too new (and I'm far too stubborn & pissy in my posts, anyway,) to be up among ya' yet, so even 10th-15th is likely out of our realm for quite some time. (I think we were lucky to be noticed at all, quite frankly!)

Seriously -- 4th is a great accomplishment, considering the vast numbers of sports bloggers out there now! Of course, tho ... I'll look forward to you getting up to that #1 position in no time, and then I may claim friendship among the best, as I do with Marc all the time (much to his chagrin) grin ...

SO, I'll be lettin' ya' know 'bout any airwaves showin's once I've worked up me ire 'nough, then, ... 'til that day, lad, ya' just keep hearin' me Irish Soul wishin' the both a' ya' well, aye?

No, really - thanks for the offer! Might be terribly fun, especially if you actually let someone like MARC in for actual verbal opining -- GEEEEEZ. (J/K, Marc, lol) BTW -- "Grump", here at FTC, is also anglerred's Grump, whose posts are imminently more kind-hearted & objective, not to mention more-content-less-piss-me-off oriented in both nature & scope than my own. (Just look for the "tags" at the bottom of each if you can't tell yet. Mine's "angler's attitude" & his is "grumpy's gander" ... tho, really -- shouldn't be hard at all to tell which is which after about two minutes, as he doesn't use nearly as many "lol" and "grin" type annoyances ... my written tics now, "grin" ...)

Catch ya' later, then! Been a true pleasure, it has (no ... that's definitely more like written Yoda-speak, lol ...)

Ah, but of course, a PS: So, is Steve REALLY an idiot, or just more like me on our side? Meaning, precisely as Marc taught me (tho he hardly needed to, I suspect) in that whole 'never be afraid to refuse to compromise your opinions" way ... only problem being, Marc usually has empirical evidence to back his up, while mine is merely empirical because I "say" so! Ah, well -- sue me for this attribute, too -- God knows everyone else wants to! lol

[Be well & catch ya' soon.]

Hey, Charlie of the Charlies! Great ta' see ya' here, and sure & enough'll be great to hear ya' elsewhere, lad, grin ... (I'm still workin' on my written brogue, and thus far, it's sorta' suckin', huh? Maybe I should just give you guys a ring on Tuesday, and you can abuse me at will so I can get my FULL Irish dander up!! Naahhhhh ... but you've especially gotta' love that when it's comin' from far away, hehe ...)

In any event, HAPPY FOURTH! (er ... well ... you know what I mean, considering it's now the 5th ... 6th ... somethin' like that, lol ... another Bushmills, anyone??)
