grin ... how come I didn't see this until NOW??? Since then, another storm's flooded us again, because the well guys didn't close up the WELL hole they dug WELL enough -- thus, SINK-hole, leading directly to our basement ... sigh ... more of "the CALLS" to make, then, grin ... (Glad you got out of it without a prob, tho -- lots had it worse than we did, both times.)

But don't worry about those ads for the "young & gorgeous" again deal -- for men, you only GET more gorgeous with age, ya' lucky, uh ... "chaps", grin ... Women, on the other hand? Botox-excluded, we simply get old, lol (or, as Botox-INcluded, we can't even SHOW it if we're "lol'ing", hehe) I'll choose to age in "my" way anyway -- I've earned every one of these new lines & whatever gray's under whatever color of the season I may choose, thank you very much -- most with great amounts of laughter, so it's all good. (sorta' ... eeek ... not that I'm sayin' I'm ENJOYIN' some of the changes, tho at least I'm not losing EVERYTHING quite yet, grin ...)

Watch that coffee-only deal -- ya' need some protein & B-vitamin/potassium stuff to carry ya' through -- try a soy protein shake with ... soy milk, a little soy/organice protein powder, some frozen bananas & blueberries instead of "breakfast" ... will hold ya' past lunch most days, while also givin' ya' what ya' need. Exercise is good for the Soul, too, darlin' ... and allllll is more important that your "girlish figure", lol ... try to stick to organic foods (or cut/peel the skins off of veggies like carrots & pototoes -- even apples, etc.), as the skins are where most of any toxins/pesticides/herbicides, etc. are stored. (Also the concentration of vitamins in most, which is why organic is preferred, so you can eat ALL of the produce without concerns.)

I'd advise you on "meat", lol ... but you'll get quickly bored of THAT, plus there's nothing like a huge, RARE steak on occasion for me, too. BUT ... organic meats, especially, are very expensive. Best you can do is stick to "free-range" or growth-hormone-free, etc. meats & poultry, and WILD-caught fish ... and even some of this isn't as pure as we'd like it.

Just remember ... unless it's organic or otherwise noted as NOT having been exposed to some of those chemicals, it's little different than even unorganic dairy products. The pesticides/herbicides used in their food supplies are ingested, the growth hormones and antibiotics, etc. in their blood -- and even with slaughtering methods, additional adrenaline, especially in beef ... which we all absorb, too, however indirectly. (I find that I'm FAR less "Irish" in temper, for example, when I stay away from beef for at least three weeks straight -- maybe the adrenaline-flow-down alone, lol -- who knows.)

You & your dr.'s know what's best, but it's how I've helped my Mom this past year, and -- oh -- watch you water intake, as well. Dasani's the best bottled on the market at this point, because they use reverse-osmosis, thus far the best "commercial" filtering system out there for bottled water. Our watersheds, especially near agricultural areas ... tap water isn't always the way to go if you're taking care of your hydration needs (VERY important, especially with lemon to help with toxin elimination -- just stay away from those peels in your water unless organic) -- nor are the over-hyped bottled waters ("spring water", etc. meaning basically nothing, and "filtered" often not filtered any more than if you'd just wrapped cheesecloth around your faucet, lol ...)

TOLD you I'd bore you, grin ... believe it or not, I've been into holistic healing for a long, long time, as well as ... well ... suffice it to say that many Celtic women were burned at the stake for being the "medicine women" of their villages during the witch trials, and it was more than about religion at the time -- there was also the matter of this new "field" with money involved opening up in England and elsewhere near at the time ... it was, and is, the field of "medicine". Tack on a few hundred years or more, and now our pharmaceuticals are killin' more than they're helpin' ...grin.

OK! STOPPING NOW!!! (Geeez ... just like when I get on one'a my COT or otherwise rants at anglerred, lol ... scary!)

TAKE CARE, darlin' ... just take good care, cuz' I'm with ya' on the healin', even if I'm opinionated sometimes on the "how", and I often don't take my own advice anyway, lol ...

Hi!

I agree about the handshake -- something Dad believed in with all his heart, and I still do, though if my mother's in the room? Paperwork flies, lol ... she doesn't trust anyone anymore -- might have something to do with all of those "handlshake deals" that were starting to go out of "style" ... hmmmm ..

Hey, Kaboom! yeah, me too ... cable's still out since the TREE guys haven't yet been here to remove the tree from my roof (someone's about to get "the CALL") ... and I forgot to say Happy Dad's Day ,too!!! (Thanks for reminding me!!)

Must have coffee, and then I plan to be scintillating, lol ...(yeah, right)

(OH, and about that hair-thing ... SIGH ... ok, ok ... but then I'd just hafta' change it every season Grump, which could get very confusing -- by next late fall/winter, it'll look the same again, anyway, only probably longer, and you KNOW I hate pics!! GEEEEZ!)

Coffee ... must have coffee ........... but have a great Tuesday until I catch back up, you two!!

BTW, if your hair color does not match your photo, you must update the photo.

C'mon Connie, I saw that interview with Wendy Venturini too. Joe and Rose are nice folks. They made a 'handshake deal' with BIG Bill France. These people come from an era when a handshake is your word, period. Remember when Richard Petty was first asked for a contract by Rick Wilson to drive the 44? The King was insulted.

Now a handshake with a snakeoil salesman like O.Bruton Smith? that would be the day.

Ok ... heading over to anglerred to do some bloggin' there, first, lest Grump kick my butt for getting too distracted (might have to go back to auburn, at this point, since this lighter hair's makin' me sort' follow suit, lol) ... THEN, I'll come back here and do "something" about "something"!

First observation about Pocono, though -- damn is it HOT. (Temp-wise, guys ... geeez.)

Another one? After SPEED's interview with owners? If it ever sells, it's goin to ISC. DAMN. "Handshake deal with Old Man France", way back when, and lots of loyalty to France family since then ... don't think there's ANY way in hell they'll ever sell to SMI, IF they sell at all, which is doesn't look like they're intending anyway. Though, ANYone negotiating in terms of sales? Always does that "there isn't ANY amount of money", etc. stuff at first, so ... between that AND whether or not ICS/NASCAR would ever even WANT to snap it up (unless they sense the "war" with SMI on the horizon, of course, which God knows they should be by now) ... I think Bruton's in for a tough ride if he really wants this venue.

Ok -- enough about that, here, for now!!

So, of course you go there, lol, lol .... ya' nut!!

AS a matter of fact, since it's summer??? I HAVE gone with a rather light strawberry-blonde look (seasonal hair-appropriateness disorder, grin) -- holy CRAP -- could that be IT??? LOL

Are you certain you don't have blonde roots lurking under that red head?
